PELLTA-US Embassy Grant For Teachers
The PELLTA-US Embassy conference grant is a collaborative outreach programme which aims to foster the professional development of English language teachers serving far away from the cities by sponsoring their attendance at the 12th PELLTA International English Language Teaching Conference (iELT-Con) 2025 from 18-19 August 2025 at Bayview Hotel in George Town, Penang.
Award
This grant covers the conference fees and accommodation for 60 Malaysian teachers and 10 teachers from ASEAN countries on a twin sharing basis for two nights at the conference venue.
Eligibility
The grant is open to all English language teachers who fulfill the following criteria:

serving in a school 25 km. or more from the capital city of your state/province in your country

currently teaching English in the school
-
a trained teacher
-
a Malaysian or ASEAN citizen
Selection Criteria
Applications are evaluated according to the following criteria:

reasons for wishing to attend iELT-Con 2025
-
evidence of commitment to teaching English
-
the benefit that attending iELT-Con 2025 will bring to you, your students and other teachers in your community.
Note: Applicants who are presenters will be given greater consideration.
