This special poster presentation category is aimed at student teachers studying in Malaysia to be an English language teacher. The theme of the poster presentation is Creative English Language Teaching Ideas.

student presenter guidelines
A poster presentation is an exhibit that is visually explanatory and often provides a good opportunity for short informal discussions and feedback. Design a poster on the theme “Creative English Language Teaching Ideas”. It may be based on:

a research e.g. an action research project, or
-
a creative teaching strategy
-
an innovation
Poster boards will be provided to display the posters during the conference.​
All poster presenters must be present during allocated times to explain or answer questions about their posters.

Presenters must prepare the poster before the conference.

Poster size : AO size portrait (84.1cm x 118.9 cm or 33.1 inches x 46.8inches)

Centre title and the presenter name at the top of the poster.

Place presenter name & institution under the title.

Suggested sections e.g.
i) research presentation : Introduction, Background, Objectives, Method, Results, Conclusion, References
ii) teaching idea: Intro, Objective, Problem, Solution, Significance, References
iii) teaching idea: Intro, Objective, Rationale, Action/teaching method, Results/ Significance, Conclusion

Design is visually engaging.

Title is short and draws interest

Text is readable 3 – 6 feet away; a san-serif font (e.g. Arial) is preferable with use of upper and lowercase.

Use of headlines, numbering, bullets, charts, and other visuals make the poster easy to read

Effective use of graphics, colour and fonts

Layout allows the audience to follow the information with ease.
